When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he was the more afraid; And went again into the judgment hall, and saith unto Jesus, whence art Thou? But Jesus gave him no answer. When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, He said, It is finished: and He bowed His head, and gave up the ghost. The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, tha the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath, (for that Sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away. John 19: 28-31 Many bulls have compassed Me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset Me round. They gaped upon Me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion. I am poured out like water, and all My bones are out of joint: My heart is like wax, it is melted in the midst of My bowels. My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and My tongue cleaveth to My jaws; and Thou has brought Me into the dust of death. For dogs have compassed Me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed Me: they pierced My hands and My feet. I may tell all My bones: they look and stare upon Me. They part My garments among them, and cast lots upon My vesture. Psalm 22:12-18

Then came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was crucified with Him. But when they came to Jesus, and saw that He was dead already, they brake not His legs: But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced His side, and forthwith came there out blood and water. And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: that ye might believe. For these things were done that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of Him shall not be broken. and again another scripture saith, They shall look on Him whom they pierced. John 19: 31-37 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon Me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for Him, as one mourneth for His only Son, and shall be in bitterness for His firstborn. Zechariah 12:10 and And one shall say unto Him, what are these wounds in Thine hands? Then He shall answer , Those with which I was wounded in the house of My friends. Zechariah 13:6 and He keepeth all His bones: not one of them is broken. Psalm 34:20
So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre. And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying, yet went he not in. Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie. And the napkin, that was about His head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself. Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed. For as yet they knew not the scripture, that He must rise again from the dead. John 20: 4-9 For thou wilt not leave My soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. Psalm 16:10
